We undertake class 4 (car) MOT testing and we are the only garage in the Burnham-on-Crouch area also offering Class 5 (mini bus) and Class 7 ( commercial ) MOTs.

We offer a while you wait service or if you prefer you can leave your vehicle.

If necessary we can offer a free local collection and delivery service. Our MOT service bay can accommodate vehicles up to 9m long, including motor homes within the regulatory design gross weight.

The law requires a minimum tread depth of 1.6mm in the main grooves which are situated in the central three quarters of a tyre.

Wheel Balancing – Using the latest technology, wheels are balanced to the finest tolerances and weights fitted as specified but the car manufacturer.

Wheel Alignment – With our state-of-the-art technology we correct alignment problems ranging from uneven tyre wear, vehicle pulling to left or right, and off centre steering wheels. This reduces wear and tear, reduces fuel consumption and MOST IMPORTANTLY IMPROVES ROAD SAFETY.

We advise if booking your vehicle for an MOT and service that the MOT is carried out first, this ensures that the customer is fully aware of the condition of the vehicle within the MOT requirements prior to the service. Our fully trained team of technicians can carry out three ranges of service, these generally fall into the categories listed below

As you would expect we stamp your service book to keep your records up to date. We can also reset most service lights when required. For further information on all services please contact our service advisors.

Repairs and Replacement - We carry out all MOT repair work, this generally involves the repair and replacement of the following:- wheel bearings, brake callipers, pads and discs, suspension components and all associated engine parts etc.

Timing Belts - We place timing belts at the top of our priority list when advising customers on manufacturers replacement intervals and advise customers of the costly consequences due to a timing belt failure. We are fully equipped to carry out timing belt replacements on all makes of vehicles. During timing belt replacement a full tensioner kit is advised to be installed.

Batteries - Before considering a replacement battery your vehicle charging system should be checked to confirm that the battery is at fault. We have all the equipment necessary to diagnose battery and alternator faults.

We stock a selection of Bosch batteries for the most common European vehicles and offer a 3-year warranty on all Bosch batteries; these can be supplied or fitted. Bosch first manufactured batteries in 1927, these batteries have been continuously advanced to fulfil the very latest technical requirements and ambient conditions. They are high-performance, maintenance free and are perfectly matched to any type of vehicle. If required we can supply an alternative make of battery.

Computer Diagnostics - Our workshop technicians are able to carry out fault tracing and diagnostics on most vehicles, however an occasion may arise when we advise the customer to contact the main dealer.

The function of an exhaust and its placement on the vehicle means it is one of the hardest working components of a car, even though there are no moving parts.

Rust and corrosion can attack the metal – this will lead to noise and in some cases dangerous failure. A noisy exhaust is illegal and could lead to a fine. Any leakage of fumes from a failed exhaust can lead to sickness and drowsiness which of course could lead to an accident.

As an appointed Lucas TRW Brake Safety Centre we are able to carry out full brake system checks and remove and install any brake parts required.

We also have a computer diagnostic system to investigate most ABS system faults.
